Get set for an evening of infectious music from the land of Bossa Nova, with the London Bossa Quartet!

At the cutting edge of Brazilian jazz, the London Bossa Quartet comprises top-class musicians dedicated to exploring an exquisite repertoire of classics by master Brazilian composers such as João Donato, Tom Jobim, and Hermeto Pascoal, as well as performing original material.

This stellar quartet, formed in 2019, has performed widely in the UK to sell-out audiences, always delivering a vibrant, virtuoso sound that takes listeners well beyond Bossa Nova.

A unique voice in contemporary Brazilian jazz guitar and a virtuoso performer, guitarist Luiz is also a member of the Choro exponents Alvorado and runs his own quintet and Brazilian Big Band.

Luiz continues to pursue an innovative, experimental rebirth of the Brazilian musical tradition within the broader landscape of jazz and World Music.

    SAM WATTS

Pianist Sam's playing is both lyrical, focused and extremely creative. Specialising in Brazilian music and jazz, he's a member of the Brazilian jazz trio Djangada and New Orleans jazz group Dime Notes, and has worked with performers such as Jean Toussaint, Jana Varga and Jo Harrop.
